The description of threaded inserts:
Wire thread inserts are also called threaded sheaths, stainless steel threaded sleeves, wire sleeves, and braces. Produced from Stainless Steel wire, which is cold drawn (profiled) to form a diamond shaped wire. The wire is helically coiled to produce a wire thread insert. The finished insert provides a high performance, heat and corrosion resistant internal thread which is far stronger than parent materials such as Aluminium and Magnesium alloys.
The application of threaded inserts:
Threaded Inserts are designed to improve the strength of assemblies by distributing forces from the fastener over a large area in the base material, thus increasing the load-bearing capability. For metals such as aluminum, this means full utilization of high-tensile-strength fasteners. In plastics, Threaded Inserts avoid wear and cold-flow problems encountered with thread-forming screws. Threaded Inserts offer both engineering and cost economies.

Insert Installation Instruction:1. Drill and prepare the base hole in the parent material using certain proper size drill bit to Donghai recommended dimensions.
2. Tap the drilled hole using STI tap we supplied.
3. Place the insert onto the insertion tool, be sure the tang is properly engaged in the driving contour.
4. Position the insert and tool squarely over the tapped hole, and ensure the installation tool is perpendicular to the hole axis.
5. Rotate the installation tool, exerting slight pressure until insert is located 1/4-1/2 turn below the surface.
6. Break off thetang at the notch in the insert bottom coil with supplied tang break-off tool.
